About Sloopio
Why Sloopio?
I play fantasy football. But I don’t really want to worry about injury reports and backup running backs. I’m pretty decent at it, but I’d much rather worry about WHETHER the Steelers score rather than WHO scores.
I used to fill out a bracket for March Madness. Not so much lately. Because the truth is, for me, after the bracket is submitted, the fun is basically gone. I would watch the games with no idea what I was rooting for.
Do I want this upset to happen? I’m not even sure. I would check the score of my bracket after the first few days, unsure of what I need to move up the list, and stop paying attention by the second weekend.
What else is out there, really? Gambling is omnipresent, but I have more fun competing with my friends instead of sending my money to a faceless corporation. Check the big players’ websites, and they all have the same few games. The same ones we’ve been playing for decades.
It’s time for something new, isn’t it?
Fine. I’ll just make the games that I want to play.
A little twist on the games we watch
Sloopio brings new, unique games that you probably haven’t seen before. They’re more on the casual side. Usually, a sporting event’s Win/Loss result is all that matters. However, every game has a little twist. In some games, teams can be assassinated. In others, you can steal your friend’s best team. There is some strategy around how to manage what you have. All without needing to know what it means exactly that the Vikings’ #3 wide receiver is listed as “Questionable.”
It’s all free, and all are welcome, whether you have a group of friends, or whether you want to just try a game solo alongside our library of computer players who are ready to challenge you.
My sincere thanks for checking out Sloopio. Now let’s play the season differently, shall we?
