How to play MLB Pennant Run

Pick one club per playoff round. Score for every series result, and never use a club twice.

How MLB Pennant Run works: pick one team in each playoff series. A series win scores ten minus losses, a series loss scores games won, and a team cannot be used twice.

The full rules

  • A league may have between 2 and 15 members. Multiple members may choose the same club.
  • Choose one club per playoff round: Wild Card, Division Series, League Championship Series, and World Series.
  • Each series has its own deadline. You may change or clear an unlocked pick until that club’s series begins or reaches its official deadline.
  • Once a series begins, both clubs in that series are no longer selectable for that round. Locked picks are revealed to the league as their individual series begin.
  • A confirmed club is selectable even if its opponent has not yet been determined.
  • A delayed earlier round does not extend or reopen a later-round deadline.
  • An unfilled pick scores 0 points, whether the member missed the pick or had no eligible club remaining.
  • Final ties are broken first by most winning series picks, then by round score from latest to earliest: World Series, League Championship Series, Division Series, and Wild Card.
  • Members still tied after every tiebreaker share the championship.
